I was an SF&F fan way before I ever read any rocmane, though truth to tell I probably read more mysteries than anything. A lot of these paranormal series combine elements from all three fields, so I'm a happy reader.I'd heard of the other two but not J. R. Ward before. Might give her a peek. (Though I really do not need another author to read.) I also like Kim Harrison's Hollows series. Well, I liked the first book, Dead Witch Walking, and what my husband has enthusiastically described to me of the rest of the series.So a Cathy Yardley paranormal series would be great.
